Marietta Petkova and Carel Kraayenhof, two masters on their instruments, have found each other in the program the Hand of the Bear.
With folk music as their underlying theme, they perform works by Bach, Scarlatti, Schubert and Argentine masters such as Piazzolla and Garçia, among others.

The compositions are interspersed with personal stories, such as the one about both of them being fascinated by the legendary classical pianist Svyatoslav Richter, whose giant hand once encompassed Marietta's tiny child's hand and in whose honor Carel wrote a poetic piano work, which he later renamed Ruka na Metchka (Hand of the Bear) especially for Marietta. A unique summit meeting between piano and bandoneon.
