Visiting the city of Amersfoort is like finding yourself briefly in the Middle Ages. With the historic center of Amersfoort, you wander through ancient streets and beautiful old canals. The city center of Amersfoort offers you the perfect combination of buildings with history to structures with a modern look. Amersfoort lends itself perfectly to a day out or a weekend away. Go shopping in picturesque streets, visit The Amersfoort Zoo, discover history with the birthplace of Piet Mondrian or Kamp Amersfoort and end the day at one of the many top restaurants or bars.

How about the Mondrian House which is located in the birthplace of Piet Mondrian or Museum Flehite with changing exhibitions and art. We also have Kunsthal KAdE in Amersfoort with exhibitions that go in all sorts of directions. From modern to classical. Are you more into visual culture or photography then The Rietveld Pavilion is for you! The building was designed by Rietveld himself.

As a city, Amersfoort also has a military past. This is reflected in various museums such as Kamp Amersfoort, Cavalry Museum or the National Military Museum in Soesterberg on the outskirts of Amersfoort.
