The Koppelpoort is a unique combination of a land gate and a water gate, the only one in the Netherlands. It dates from about 1425 and is part of the city's second rampart.
In about 30 minutes you will discover all the "secrets" during a complete tour in and on top of the gate; a surprising experience! This is exclusive and only possible with a guide from Gilde Amersfoort. A shorter visit to the gate is a regular part of every city tour and included in its price. The gate can also be visited from the inside by means of a guided tour. Those who walk in one of the trend mill during the tour also receive the Raddraaiers certificate. The Koppelpoort can be visited by appointment if you would like a guided tour.
